DC Comics imprint Vertigo announced that Beukes will be getting her very own horror graphic novel, called ‘Survivors’ Club’. The comic book, created together with Dale Halvorsen and Ryan Kelly, forms part of Vertigo’s new line-up starting in October. It’s an incredibly interesting time to be in comics. In the 1990s, Vertigo challenged the notion that comics had to be face-bashing superheroic epics.
