Blade Comics

The world is changing immensely and people are starting to become more gender-sensitive. This is apparent with more and more strong female superheroes emerging. And Marvel Comics is adding another one to their roster by introducing the very first female Blade. Before Twilight, before Buffy The Vampire Slayer, before Van Hellsing, there was Blade. The Marvel comic series featured the original vampire hunting vigilante, which was later turned into a cult classic film with Wesley Snipes playing the eponymous lead. Blade: The Hunter will introduce Fallon Grey, the 16-year old daughter of Marvel's favorite vampire hunter. When I picture the character of Blade, the first thing that comes to mind is Wesley Snipes. Sue me, I haven't read much of Blade in actual comics. A new upcoming Blade series will feature an all-new female hero. The announcement was made this weekend during the Women of Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Created by Tim Seeley and Logan Faerber, Newsarama reports the comic will include the We're certainly not a comic book blog, but I thought this was worthy of mention - especially as the intermingling of both the comic book and cinema universes continues; meaning, in short, given the ongoing discussion of the possible return of Blade to film San Diego Comic-Con offered a lot of surprises, particularly with Marvel, as it continued announcing new comic book titles. Perhaps the biggest news, though, came from an older franchise, Blade, which gets a reboot later this year with an all-new version .
